Sometimes I think I ask to many questions...
Recently we closed on a lovely Scottsdale Home for a couple that moved here from New Jersey. They had purchased a home in the Phoenix west valley, sight unseen without my assistance. They quickly discovered it just was not where they wanted to be - at all. After about 8 months of being in the home they contacted me to see if I could help them find their 'right' home in Scottsdale and sell the current west valley home. They had been referred to me 3 years ago by a long time client/friend of mine and somehow they forgot that they could trust me to help them the 'right' place the first time around. And that's fine, stuff happens and my job is to figure it out the second time around! Once again, I promised my long time client/friend that referred them to me, that I would do my best to take excellent care of her friends she had known for many years.
We started our search for the 'right' home before selling the current home. After finding the 'right' home to buy, preparation began to get their home ready for market. They needed to accomplish many tasks to make their home picture perfect before our photographer arrived to take pictures. I was so impressed to view the home for the 2nd time around the day I met the photographer! In only 4 short days they had prepared their home exactly as I suggested in order to realize the best possible return on investment. WOW! It showed absolutely perfect and the pictures turned out beautifully. They clearly were motivated and excited to get the home sold and to start enjoying their new life in Scottsdale.
Within 2 weeks we had multiple offers on the home and they accepted the best offer. During the process they had many questions. Buying or selling a home is a BIG DEAL and it can be so darn COMPLICATED to a non-professional. And it sometimes can be even more so if the family is from out of state! Every state has different rules, laws and customs as was the case with this couple. It took time to explain the differences. Half way through the selling process the lady emailed me and said "Sometimes I think I ask too many questions". Well, guess what? There is no such thing as asking too many questions! That's why you hired me, to advise and guide you and - you can ask as many questions as needed! That put her at ease, thankfully.
End of the story, their home closed smoothly and easily! And they're now living, happily, in the 'right' home with the 'right' location they had been dreaming of for many, many years. Sometimes 2nd time around is the charm and that's when the happy new beginnings - begin!
