Thankful for my Fur Baby Barney - Of Course!

Thankful for my Fur Baby Barney - Of Course!

Our little guy Barney has been with us for 4 years this Christmas. He's 10 years old and the sweetest and most lovable little guy in the world! Here's how he came about being our little one. We listed a lovely clients home as a short sale. We first met Barney when we went to list the home. And I'd see him whenever I'd be showing the home. Since it was a short sale it was a 6 month long ordeal. The sellers told me the buyers were taking Barney as they couldn't take him with them (which was sad for them). 3 days before Christmas he called me and said in a panic - the buyers don't want Barney anymore - can you take him? Of course we can. So the next day we picked him up and they closed on the home and had to leave town. We had a house full of family so Barney had quite the experience that first week or so. He sat on our laps A LOT and was pretty confused at first. But he did adjust and now he owns the house - and our hearts. Well, the heart thing happened the first time we met him! He's just so darn cute you can't help but smile at him!

Barney patterns today are the same as they were when we first met him.  At first he'd bark and bark and bark (his job is to protect the his house) and if it were in the afternoon, he'd go to 'his' room and take a nap. I learned to always put 'his' blanket on our bed as he love to mess it up along with the pillows. And I might add he's got pillows in every room as that's his 'bed' of choice. He's not spoiled at all!!

I always laugh at people and how they spoil their pets.  Many are more spoiled than kids ever get.

Anna, Barney is the cutest!  Funny, I had a similar story with one of our previous dogs. A buyer I was working with didn't want it anymore so we took in a little 8 lb Maltese  who pretty soon ruled the house!

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS,CRB - As an Agent, we all know how tricky those short sale commissions can be (and of course, we don't need to talk about them) but here in this short sale, you got a bonus. You got BARNEY! What a beautiful member of the family he is and he's never going to leave again either or be homeless! By stealing your heart he blesses you with unconditional love. What a great happy ending. This must be the best short sale you ever had!
